The Grand Tour

The grand tour starts from the north with the first stop at the Marae (archaeological site) of Maeva. Possibility to park the bikes and walk on the site to discover it. Then direction the fish traps, at the bridge, still in operation. Small detour by the beach of the old Sofitel for a swimming and snorkeling break.
The next step is a commercial stop at the pearl farm. You have to take the taxi boat to visit the farm which is located in the middle of the lagoon. In Faie, you will find the sacred blue-eyed eels, followed by the ascent of the belvedere with a breathtaking view of the bay of Maroe. Arrived at the bridge between the two islands, to keep the sun, the road will go left towards the belvedere of Tefareii. Sublime point of view.
Last break before lunch at Marae Anini where the visit is possible on foot without difficulty. The lunch break followed by a swimming and snorkeling break in the magnificent bay of Avea, several caravan options and Mahana Hotel. Back on the bikes from 3 p.m. for a 2-hour ride back to Fare before nightfall, Sunset and happy hour!
